- Labeled practices: every practice or location tied to an owner group (dental, eye care, vet, derm
and GI), with its label, group, confidence and the strongest piece of evidence. “Not confirmed” rows
(
unconfirmed) are thin or old records: they carry a source, not a label. - Groups: the 524 owner groups, with owner or backers, since when, PE stake, how the group holds practices, and every source.
- Every practice, per state: the API reads 296 JSON files with all 256,876 practices we know,
including those with no known PE ties, at
/data/api/<industry>/<state>.json(for example dental/TX.json). Columns are listed in each file; labels are coded as in index.json.

How to use it
- Labels mean what our methodology says. In dentistry say “PE-backed” or “affiliated with a PE-backed group”, never “owned by” a PE firm; say “no known PE ties”, never “independent”.
- A label describes who owns or backs a business, not the quality of its care.
- Ownership changes. Check the date, and send errors to corrections.
